What this site is

Spf & Shore is an informational publication about sun care. It publishes research, comparisons and product recommendations. It does not sell anything, does not process payments, and has no accounts or user-submitted content.

Not medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and it cannot assess your situation. We are not clinicians. The content is general information drawn from published regulatory and research sources, and it is no substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

Always consult a doctor, dermatologist or pediatrician about: any skin condition, a reaction to a product, sunburn you are concerned about, a new or changing mole, sun protection during pregnancy, and sun protection for an infant. Do not delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here.

Accuracy, and its limits

We cite primary and regulatory sources for every safety, medical and regulatory claim, and we correct errors on the page they appear on, dated. But formulations change, products are discontinued, and regulations are amended — so information that was accurate when published may not stay accurate.
